Santa Dash Fun Run 2013

Thank you once again for your generosity in supporting our Seeds of Hope Santa Mountain Dash, we had a fantastic day!

First thing on Saturday morning, the children met up at school to change into their Santa suits before heading over to the start line at Iglesia de la Soledad.  When the whistle blew at 10am, the kids all headed off running, but luckily slowed down the pace so the profersores could catch up eventually!

The winner came in after just 40 minutes, with our very own secondary student Juan only minutes behind in second place, incredible effort! Our group of Seeds primary children was greeted with a welcome drink, ice cream and cheers at around 12.30pm. We´re proud to say that every single one of our Seeds group made it all the way to the Cruz de Ratequenua and back down to the finish line at Parque Ginebra. Bravo ninos!

Our Santa group then enjoyed a BBQ lunch, cooked in the square by our own ex-student and current volunteer Wily! Followed by panettone and chicha morada on the terrace of Trece Buhos, a local cafe who kindly agreed to support our event.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all of YOU who participated, sponsored a child or the event and to those who volunteered their time - we could not have pulled this off without your help. Thank you for your generosity and continued support.
