Garden Project

workshop designed by: Profesora Anna

Garden Project Part I
::
 Concrete Tiles utilizing reclaimed objects, beans and personal treasures.

 Garden Project Part II
::
Plating Seeds for the front yard at the school

Seeds of Hope really struck a gold mine when Anna decided to volunteer with our organization for three months. Anna is creative, passionate and incredibly hard working - always planning the next interesting activity for the children.

Garden Project Part I :: Concrete Tiles

  • The week prior to the activity, we collected items from the park as a class. (twigs, rocks bottle caps etc)
  • We provided pasta, seeds, yarn and additional fun items.
  • Volunteers made cement an hour before class, pouring it into the top of a shoe box.
  • First, the students designed their tile on a scrap sheet of paper.
  • Once they were happy with the design, they moved on to the concrete tiles and began adding their personal touch, utilizing gathered materials.
