Seeds of Hope really struck a gold mine when Anna decided to volunteer with our organization for three months. Anna is creative, passionate and incredibly hard working - always planning the next interesting activity for the children.
Garden Project Part I :: Concrete Tiles
- The week prior to the activity, we collected items from the park as a class. (twigs, rocks bottle caps etc)
- We provided pasta, seeds, yarn and additional fun items.
- Volunteers made cement an hour before class, pouring it into the top of a shoe box.
- First, the students designed their tile on a scrap sheet of paper.
- Once they were happy with the design, they moved on to the concrete tiles and began adding their personal touch, utilizing gathered materials.
